Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach to write Barbie
The Oscar-nominated director of Lady Bird is teaming up with frequent collaborator Noah Baumbach to pen Warner Bros’ Barbie, starring and produced by Margot Robbie! Gerwig is also said to be in talks to direct the film, following the release of her upcoming Little Women.

Austin Butler is Elvis in Baz Luhrmann’s latest
Beating out the likes of Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort and Harry Styles, Austin Butler is set to join Tom Hanks and play Elvis Presley himself in director Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming biopic. Best-known for his TV work including The Shannara Chronicles, Butler most recently appeared in Jim Jarmusch’s The Dead Don’t Die as well as Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood!

Taika Waititi to direct Thor 4
The What We Do In The Shadows director is set to return to the Marvel universe, writing and directing the follow-up to his acclaimed Thor: Ragnarok! Following the events of Avengers: Endgame however, will be no easy task… With San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, we are likely to hear more from the Marvel Studios team on this and other upcoming projects, such as Cate Shortland’s Black Widow film.

Quentin Tarantino already planning Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood spin-off TV show
Quentin Tarantino’s latest isn’t out for another month in the UK, yet the director is already thinking of returning to his Los Angeles in another medium – television. In a recent interview, the director revealed that he has written full episodes of the fictional show Bounty Law – starring Leonardo DiCaprio’s character in Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood – that he is thinking of turning into his next directorial effort. Would DiCaprio reprise the roles for the small screen? Only time will tell…
