Dog-Friendly And Human-Only Previews Of Isle Of Dogs! - Picturehouse Spotlight

Dog-Friendly And Human-Only Previews Of Isle Of Dogs!

Members priority booking is now open for previews of Wes Anderson's animated extravaganza including Dog-Friendly screenings.

It always feels like Christmas has come early when Wes Anderson releases a new film, and his latest, Isle Of Dogs, is no exception.  The idiosyncratic director has returned to the world of animation he so beautifully captured with 2009’s Fantastic Mr. Fox for a unique shaggy-dog tale that is sure to delight audiences young and old.

Our tails are wagging in excitement as we’re pleased to announce previews of Isle Of Dogs on Sunday 25 March including special Dog-Friendly screenings. Tickets are now on sale to Picturehouse Members.

Dog Friendly

Customers are invited to bring their well-behaved dogs to the 11am screenings at participating cinemas (9.15am at Duke Of York’s, 10.00am Greenwich). We will supply plenty of water bowls both inside and out the screen, and we will issue everything with blanket so your dog can sit on the seat next to you.

Haven’t got a friendly pooch to bring along? Fear not, regular (human-only) screenings will take place later in the day.

Members’ Priority Booking is now open for both our Dog-Friendly and Human-only previews. General sales open Monday 19 February.

See below for listings and more information on the Dog-Friendly previews.

Isle Of Dogs

Four long years after The Grand Budapest Hotel, Isle of Dogs brings another welcome dose of Wes Anderson’s whimsical charm and offbeat direction to capture audiences’ hearts. Set in a dystopian future Japan, the paw-some stop-motion animation follows 12-year-old Atari (Koyu Rankin) on his noble quest to find his adored pet dog, Spots (Liev Schreiber). After a mysterious outbreak of ‘canine flu’, all the hounds of Megasaki City are exiled by the authorities to a colossal rubbish dump known as Trash Island. Atari sets out solo to rescue his beloved pooch, meeting a few new mongrel friends along the way. Together, they end up on a journey that will decide the fate of the entire prefecture.
