Picturehouse Pop Up Presents The Beatles: Yellow Submarine

Picturehouse Pop Up Presents Yellow Submarine

The Fab Four are back in their iconic sub this summer for a series of outdoor screenings of the 1968 animated classic.

An icon of psychedelic pop culture, Yellow Submarine is a colourful musical spectacle and an exhilaratingly joyful cinematic experience for all ages – filled with visual invention, optical illusions, word play, and glorious, glorious music.

In the unearthly paradise of Pepperland, beauty, happiness and music reign supreme… until an army of music-hating Blue Meanies invades intent on draining it of all colour and hope. With a little help from Captain Fred and his Yellow Submarine, the Beatles journey across the seven seas to save the day. Filled with visual invention, optical illusions, wordplay and glorious, glorious music, this landmark animation is a vibrant, exhilarating experience for all ages – and it’s back in cinemas for its 50th anniversary.

Yellow Submarine will be playing at several of our outdoor Pop Up events across the summer, keep reading to see where you can catch it.
