City Screen Picturehouse will be hosting the opening night of this year’s Aesthetica Short Film Festival (ASFF), kicking off ASFF’s eighth edition in York’s favourite riverside bar and cinema on Wednesday 7 November. The event will showcase a dynamic and diverse taster of films from the Official Selection, hand-picked by Festival Director Cherie Federico, and will whet appetites for the days ahead.
City Screen will be showing films throughout the festival and there will be daily events in The Basement but the BAFTA-qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival additionally encompasses a range of superb venues across the city of York – all within easy walking distance of each other.
With over 300 films screenings and 100 events taking place over the five days of the festival, this is set to be the biggest ASFF to date. City Screen and Aesthetica look forward to welcoming you to York this November.Explore the programme.
