The Bolshoi Ballet returns to the big screen with the second production in their 2018-19 cinema season. Starring principal dancers Ekaterina Kyrsanova, Semyon Chudin and Olga Smirnova, this is a tour de force production.

For those unfamiliar with the story, the ballet follows Don Quixote of La Mancha and his faithful servant Sancho Panza as they set out on an epic journey; inspired by heroic stories of brave knights, the pair set out on a now-famous adventure to find Don Quixote’s ideal woman, Dulcinea.

Watch as the Bolshoi Ballet brings Cervantes’ hero to life in this critically acclaimed staging captured live in April 2016. With panache and sparkling technique, the principals lead a cast of toreadors, flamenco dancers, gypsies, and dryads in virtuosic dancing that is quintessential Bolshoi.
